Grace of the Moon Students

Through the gracious organizing efforts of Sarah Bly, the following classes will be offered as private, live, online classes for Grace of the Moon students to supplement their education in full-spectrum fertility awareness and reproductive health options. All class fees are private pay to Molly Dutton-Kenny, and not included in fees for Grace of the Moon.

Queen Anne's Lace for Herbal Fertility Management

In this workshop, we'll explore the properties of Queen Anne’s Lace, a common wildflower, as a “morning-after pill” for natural contraception, proper identification of this common plant in contrast to many poisonous look-alikes, as well as ethical harvesting, preparations, dosages, and potential side effects. We'll look at the handful of studies and resources written about Queen Anne’s Lace, and discuss how it could best fit into one’s own personal method of fertility management/birth control.

Early Abortion and Pregnancy Loss Management with Herbs

In this workshop, we'll explore how plants and plant medicines have been used historically and currently to disrupt early implantations or otherwise alter bodies, hormones, and embryonic development in order to end early pregnancies intentionally. We will look at herbal methods and actions behind successful, safe use of plants for early abortion, as well as safe use of plants to help facilitate healthy miscarriages and pregnancy losses in the first trimester. We will explore questions, contraindications, complications, and more.

Medication Abortion 101

In this workshop, we'll explore the medications used in medication abortions worldwide, how and why they work, models for use and distributions from countries all over the world, studies of safety and efficacy, and a basic exploration of the politics behind medication abortion. We will also explore specific dosages and routes of administration, community use and access, what to expect, complications, and suggestions for community care around medication abortion. This will be a comprehensive, grassroots look at this emerging field of abortion care both in-clinic and out-of-clinic.

Menstrual Extraction, Manual Vacuum Aspiration, and Uterine Evacuation

In this workshop we'll take a look at the clinical, feminist, and grassroots development of a variety of suction-based uterine evacuation methods, including menstrual extraction, manual vacuum aspiration, and variations on these practices the instructor has experimented with. This will be a practical, demonstration-based online workshop with the option to work more specifically with the instructor on building skills as desired.
